Download AXE

AXE 3 is available as a self-installing Windows executable here. [1.2M download]
Alternatively, download from here.

Purists, please note that just like old versions of AXE, AXE 3.4 does not require an installer -- once you have installed once, to extract the .exe file, you can move it from one machine to another on a plain old floppy disc and run it directly.

You can register after installation by following the instructions in the ordering section.

Scripts and Structs

Sean Decker's structures and scripts for editing Windows PE format executables are now included in AXE 3.4 (in the pe_tools.axe file). They are therefore no longer available seperately. The bitmap editing scripts are still available here as examples of scripting in action.

These Bitmap tools can be used to adjust Windows bitmaps, for instance to extract just one color channel. Ideal for when you forgot Photoshop but remembered AXE.
